Apartment-dweller Bob Field hasn't refrained from decorating his small space with his own personal style. Joan Steffend shares some of the creative ways he has transformed his one-bedroom apartment with urban style:
  • A door that once separated two rooms now serves as an entryway coat rack.
  • A rolling tool chest is used for tools, a desk and a serving bar during parties.
  • A floor-to-ceiling plush velvet curtain hides clutter in one corner of the bedroom.
  • A can light shines through springs from an old arm chair for a soft, diffused glow.
  • Billiard balls add color to the large cheese cans, which are used as a coffee table.
