To create the illusion of height in the low-ceiling basement, Azhar positions a mirror on a slant against the wall. By leading the eye up along the ceiling it expands the visual sense of space. Azhar uses a mirror he found at a resale shop and builds a large frame around it. He uses MDF panels to face the frame for a contemporary style.
