After: Warm, Friendly Hospitality
The Solution
The brick posts supply a natural division in the large basement. Gold on the walls on the adult side and two-toned stripes in the kid zone further distinguish the two areas and warm up the basement with a contemporary, yet classic color. Designer Frank Fontana builds wood surrounds for the posts and adds a bookcase between them. Sconces add more light in the basement and highlight the new architectural feature.
