Without changing the actual architecture of the space, paint expert Danielle Hirsch uses paint to create faux arches and accent molding. By painting an accent color several inches wide to either side of a corner where a wall meets another wall or the ceiling, the lines of the room are accentuated. McAloon also stains the light wood of the staircase a deep color — it's a great way to warm up any space.
