McAloon combines found items with some inexpensive painting tricks. On the linoleum floor, a one-inch line is painted around a section of four tiles to create the illusion of a grout line. Now the floor looks like its made of large stone tiles. A low table and cushioned seating make the room feel spacious and cozy.
