• Anderson provides a new home for the music and computer equipment with a wall-length desk unit made out of stained 3/4-inch plywood. Two small storage pieces are outfitted with wheels to make them mobile. A wall-mounted bookshelf holds even more files. • The mirrored closet doors are updated with window tint from a car-detailing shop. Cunningham cuts the tint into rectangles and applies it with a spray of soap and water. A squeegee helps to smooth everything out. (window tint: Window Tints, Etc.)

• A striped area rug ties all of the colors together. (floor rug: Target - 066040615)

Fabric and Window Treatments - $76

• The three windows are dressed with taupe-colored panels. For even more privacy, the upper part of the windows are covered with more of the window tint used on the closet doors. (panels: Kmart)

• Pillows in a contemporary geometric fabric introduce pattern into the room. (Michael Levine)

• A rich mocha color livens up the walls. (Behr)
