Host Pat Simpson introduces us to a San Francisco-area couple who decided to remodel their 1960's two story home to gain a lot more space and create a more modern style.

Architect Ed Kaplan came up with a design that includes a new gourmet kitchen and larger bedrooms (including two master bedrooms on the radically expanded second floor), along with added space for entertaining.

The exterior has also changed color and gained more windows. The interior has been brightened up, and given elegant new finishes. A highlight of the remodeled home is the grand new entry, with an ornate curved staircase.
