One of the final touches was the addition of a mudroom on the back of the house.
A dormer extension as wide as the house was installed. It runs from the roof's peak to the porch's top edge. A master bed and bath suite, as well as two walk-in storage areas, were installed in the extension. A spiral staircase was installed to provide access to the new extension.

A new door was installed to the left of the porch, providing a rear entrance.

The living room was essentially gutted, and hardwood floors were installed. The kitchen entrance was moved and enlarged. The kitchen was completely remodeled, with new flooring and cabinetry. The rear wall was removed and extended to include the side entrance as part of the large kitchen/eating area.
