Family Room Loft Addition

Viewers meet the homeowner, Kathy, and learn about her goals for this living room remodel. Viewers get a tour of the space before any construction begins. Architect Randy King talks us through his drawings and plans for the new living room.

This family room and game room had been added on by a previous owner and were falling apart. Although her original intention was merely to replace the existing rooms, Kathy decided to build a family room with a loft on the back of the house.

After

Jim Parks tours the new living room with Kathy, and we hear how happy she is with the new room. The space is finally revealed.

The results are quite stunning. The wall of windows and spacious family room are great for entertaining, and upstairs is a loft that houses a small office area. A game room was incorporated into the space, as was ample storage and a beautiful, new fireplace.
