A sheet of Plexiglas is attached to the desktop with hinges and lined with permanent marker to make a calendar grid. A roll of brown craft paper slides underneath. The calendar desk is a great way to keep organized: just write permanent calendar items on the paper and make updates or temporary notes on the Plexiglas with dry-erase markers.
