Mom was absolutely thrilled to find that designer Vern Yip had completely transformed her bedroom. The bed is reoriented on the side wall to open up the room more. The new, brown velvet bed is more contemporary, but still works with the room's traditional feel. Earth-tone bedding adds a soft contrast to the blue and purple color palette. Like the office, the window treatments are kept in the same color palette, just a little darker than the wall color. A transitional-style ceiling fan bridges the gap between the room’s traditional furnishings and contemporary styling.
