Drop Ceiling Headboard
Snijders was inspired by a swatch of fabric to create a grid-like wall treatment that would also double as a headboard. To build this element, he combines 1- x 3-inch pine boards and panels of white styrene (also known as drop ceiling panels). He cuts a channel into the boards with his table saw to float the styrene panels away from the wall but also hold them securely in place. The treatment creates interest and diffuses the blue wall behind it.
