The area by the window was a previously untapped space. Design coordinator Summer Baltzer creates a chaise lounge with a twin mattress, a homemade platform and custom fitted fabric. She chooses a neutral suede for the cover to unify the bench's style with the homeowner's furniture. For a clean and square tailored look, Baltzer sews the fabric rather than just stapling it to the bottom of the bench. She also spray paints the legs of the bench platform silver to match the silver legs on the couches. A few throw pillows complete a cozy, inviting spot for guests to gather for conversation.
