After: Cozy and Tranquil
The newly designated living area feels warm and inviting. The soft-blue paint accented by Asian elements in various shades of wheat and red creates that cozy Huffman wanted. It also makes all those wooden kitchen cabinets really pop. Huffman is especially happy with the new couch and pillows and how they blend in perfectly with the rest of the room. The beautiful coffee table Alletto made is now front and center and highlighted by one large rug. Before there were several rugs that clashed with one another and made the space feel smaller.

The fountain is the crowning touch! Colón fashioned the fountain by dismantling the large red tube from the living room (see next Before photo), and cutting it into three smaller sections to use as tiers. Stone slabs are placed atop each tier and then water vessels made out of authentic Chinese rice buckets are used to take the water all the way down. The varying heights of each tier give it more of a sculptural element and play off the height of the ceiling. A patina finish on the base of the fountain results in a metallic shine that adds interest and texture.
