After putting up with so many bright colors, Karen plays it safe and chooses a warm tan with a grayish tone for the walls. For the drapes, she picks the color of cumin, another earthy brown shade. The modern mirrored closet door is replaced with a custom-made, warm oak door. Chili pepper red textured wallpaper covers a central accent wall and red accents pepper the room.

Did You Know? Tone is the amount of gray added to a color. In many Eastern cultures, red is the luckiest color.
