Paul and Mailin LaBella adore their new home with extensive Japanese gardens, compliments of the previous owners' hard work. Their sizeable living room has beautiful new floors and some great, large scale furnishings but lacks the essential style the couple is looking for. The Design on a Dime team brings in Asian elements from their inspiring outdoor landscaping, adding rich color and luxurious textures.

Before: Too Traditional
The Dilemma
The homeowners were drawn to the Japanese garden landscaping; however, the dated interior doesn't match the natural beauty that surrounds the house. Traditional elements in the room define a style that the homeowners want to change. The LaBellas want an indoor space is harmonious with the outside landscaping and is also family-friendly.
