Bromstad chooses the first wall that one sees when entering the room to be the focal wall and paints it a warm, deep Spanish red. After the wall is painted red, a coat of glaze is applied for a mottled, leathery effect. To tone down the bold red, the focal wall is paired with a neutral caramel brown on the other walls.
