Lisa Jackson and her two daughters have worked hard to create a colorful African theme for their suburban home. Unfortunately, their living room hasn't yet received the designer touch. They have all the right accessories, but they need the Design on a Dime team to help them unify the theme and pull the room together.

The Dilemma
Jackson's suburban home is full of rich color and eclectic African-themed accessories, but her living room lacks color and a cohesive style. The room has all the elements of a modern, ethnic space, but its size swallows her accessories. Her collections are lost in this large space. She needs the design team to devise a plan that will highlight both the fireplace and conversation areas. Interior designer Lee Snijders is impressed with her variety of African art and artifacts but feels her knotty pine tables don't fit the theme.
