Before: Oran Z wanted to incorporate a safari style into his den; however, his collection of zebra accessories has overtaken the space. Plus, it's time to update the bland walls, industrial carpeting and ugly ceiling tiles.

After: Grasscloth wallpaper, new flooring and a vaulted ceiling create a more relaxed and enlarged space. To complete the look, the three key elements of safari design are incorporated—natural textures and fibers, animal prints and African relics.
After being on safari in Africa, Oran Z wanted to bring the whole safari style back into his own home. However, his den is full of zebra-themed items but not much else. Instead of the natural colors and textures that would evoke the African savannah, his den is just a crazy cluster of black and white stripes and knickknacks. Fortunately, designer Frank Fontana, contractor Steve Pitzer and design coordinator Jennifer Julian turn the striped insanity into a natural-looking safari paradise.
