Sofa
The modern sofa in the designer room is covered in beige and black chenille wool. The piece is valued at over $10,000. For the Double Take room Halili went to a store that specializes in reproductions of popular modern furniture. She finds a similar sofa with the same sleek lines and metal legs as the designer room version. She had the sofa upholstered in a licorice-colored synthetic fabric that is made to look and feel like nubby wool. Bright orange pillows complete the look.

Tip: When shopping for furniture, what’s on the showroom floor is not always your only option – and sometimes it’s not the least expensive option. Ask if you can change the fabric and you might be able to save yourself some money.
