Valued at $7,000, the two oak chairs in the designer room are Louis-15 reproductions with cabriolet leg and woodcarved details. Halili finds great budget versions with similar carved wood and curved legs for $700. The elegant yellow upholstery on the chair is classic French Provincial style. Rectangular pillows with tassels are added for a cozy touch.

Anchoring the furniture in the designer room is a crewel-work (crewel is a tight chain-stitch embroidery) red and cream rug. For the makeover room, a diamond-pattern rug with whimsical bumble bees has the perfect texture to match the original.
