Wall Paint – $40
The inspiration for the wall treatment comes from the soft muted colors found in a classic camp blanket. First, a mixture of paint and glaze goes over the existing wall color to tone it down and give it an antique effect. Then, the stripes are painted onto the lower half of the walls using a dry-brush technique for a very soft look. For the chair rail, wood medallions are cut from tree branches and nailed onto the wall.

Porch – $60
To create the North Woods porch setting, an old screen door is fastened to the wall, and a window is hung on each side. Antique shutters are made into an awning for above the door. Three pieces of lumber are fastened onto the back of the shutters and then attached to support brackets to hold up the awning.

Game Table – $21
The rustic game table is made by painting stripes and a checkerboard onto the tabletop. The checker pieces are crafted from branch medallions and painted either red or black. Baskets are screwed into the backs of the two chairs to hold the checker pieces.
Reading Corner – $21
A reading corner is created with the homeowner's leather club chair and a new side table. The side table is crafted from an old trunk and some logs. To give the trunk some height, four logs are screwed into the bottom of the trunk to serve as table legs.
