Blue Sofa
A sofa with curved arms and a dark wood frame similar to the designer room sofa was found for $175. This flea market steal had recently been reupholstered so the innards were in good shape. Upholstery grade fabric made of silk and cotton in a rich blue pattern was found for a very inexpensive price of $10 per yard. A professional upholstery shop completed the job.

Tip: When you visit your upholsterer bring in a picture of the piece you want to re-cover and its dimensions, then the upholsterer can tell you how much fabric you need to buy. Also, make sure your fabric is upholstery grade, meaning it needs weight but it must also be able to be easily stretched.
