After: Using a rich palette including deep hues of green, brown and blue, the room is much more inviting and warm, creating the perfect place to entertain family and friends.
Felicia and Aaron are a bright young couple with two kids and a huge extended family that makes full use of every room in their house. They have a beautiful living room with original architecture and a favorite feature is the fireplace. The couple loves the idea of having the traditional family gathering around the hearth. By using color, host Jane Lockhart knows this feature can become the center of attention at all their entertaining functions.

Jane's design tip: If you have furniture pieces in all different colors, tie them together with an area rug.
