Before: This living room has a lovely grand piano this family really uses, but the room appears unfinished with a collection of different chairs and case pieces spread throughout.

After: The piano remains the focal point and a fireplace unit ties in with the formal feeling and the existing oak wood trim. Rich, warm colors in the red, orange and purple families make it so much more welcoming.

Before: The walls are stark white and there aren't any window treatments. The large window seat is just begging for a cushion and some soft pillows to make it a great spot for reading.

After: Fabric is used in the form of balloon shades, new cushions on the piano bench and window seat plus lots of pillows to add softness to this side of the room.
Hosts Matt Fox and Shari Hiller bring their design talents together to spruce up the all-white living/piano room of Dennis and Marge Kovit. Hiller talks about how to select just the right color and Fox shows how to create the illusion of a real fireplace.
