This long living room is stark and furnished with college leftovers.

Traditional wall coverings and new furniture combine to warm the space.
Hosts Shari Hiller and Matt Fox decorate the living room in a lovely old Victorian home that's currently filled with leftover apartment furniture. They change the look of the fireplace, choose warm wall coverings plus coordinating fabrics, and then add all new furniture and accessories for a beautiful modern-day Victorian room.

The opposite end of the room has the homeowner's piano in it but nothing else.

The piano is put back into place and the wall coverings and artwork make it much more interesting than before.

The non-working fireplace is outdated and its Spanish style doesn't really fit the Victorian home.

Since it's a non-working fireplace, Matt Fox adds a wood base that fits into the opening. A mantel and tinted glaze rubbed over the stucco warm the focal point even more.

A turret provides a wonderful opportunity for even more relaxing seating but the all-white area isn't welcoming.

A mass of pillows, throw blankets and window shade valances completely transform the turret space.
