Homeowner Julian Whitaker is ready for a new look in his cluttered living room (pictured, right). He found a photograph of a designer living room done in rich suede that he can really see himself living in–but he can't see living with the price tag of more than $34,000.

Designer Michael Siniscal created this hip urban setting. The design incorporates a great mix of style and elements–from a zebra-skin rug to the steel side tables. The beauty of the room is in the simplicity of the clean lines, and the wow-factor comes from the contrasting textures and fabrics.

The Double Take team–makeover designer Michele Addey, budget shopper Halili Knox, and carpenter Jamie Schmitt–combine their creative know-how to replicate casual city elegance for less than $2,500.
