Much-needed storage cabinets and shelves are added above the stove and refrigerator. The new cabinetry is painted white and then one is given a little exrtra panache with a red accent and knobs shaped like a set of wooden shoes. To free up some counter space, a new microwave shelf is constructed for over the movable dishwasher.
