The first thing Lauren does is rearrange the refrigerator and stove. This results in a better overall layout and allows her to set up a gourmet cooking area with the oven and two cabinets. It also makes the breakfast room feel like it's a part of the kitchen, a feeling that's enhanced by the coffee shop dinette set, complete with bench seating. Warm mocha paint on the walls, a new tile floor with a black border and glossy black granite countertops warm and brighten the room. The team adds a glass tile backsplash in a brick pattern, finishing out this cozy-yet-sophisticated coffee-shop style.
