In downtown Manhattan, Julie and Stephen Corelli own a spectacular multi-floor loft, topped by an 1,100-square-foot kitchen on the roof. This space, formerly a shoe warehouse, is bigger than most New York apartments and features comfortable outdoor furniture for a quiet, relaxing evening or for hosting parties. The Corellis got tired of climbing the stairs from the main living area to the roof to entertain, so architect Stephen designed this kitchen. It's their own private version of a sidewalk cafe. Plenty of plants and flowers help soften up the place and to top it off — that beautiful view of Manhattan.
