The Kellys' kitchen is stuck in a '70s rut with mismatched appliances, crumbling walls and a peeling floor. When the cabinets were built, the hardware was placed in the middle of the door, which is not only unattractive but also very awkward. An exposed wire hangs above the kitchen sink and the girls are tired of the robin's egg blue on the walls.
