When Amy and Steve Moran bought their 1950s ranch-style home, they were attracted by its expansive windows, vaulted ceilings and open beams. Even though it needed some work, they saw its enormous potential, especially in the kitchen. Now the Morans are ready to tackle their kitchen project, but have opted to leave this job in the hands of a professional designer. After careful consideration the Morans decide that designer Sally Marshall will best suit their needs. Marshall's design incorporates custom concrete flooring with a colorful stained design that flows from the entry into the kitchen area and matches the concrete countertops. New custom cabinets, appliances and bright colors give the new kitchen the artistic quality the homeowners were looking for. What was once an awkward conglomeration of old appliances and tile is now a fun, up-to-date space.
