The one-of-a-kind refrigerator panel was painted in a personalized fruit and textile design.
Host Joan Kohn visits the new home of Gina Tantoco for a look at her bright, functional kitchen, completely open to the family room. The gourmet kitchen, designed by architect Jeff Love, steps down into a family room that opens onto a courtyard, an arrangement that offers flexibility and versatility for entertaining.
  • A large center island that houses the cooktop and retractable vent also provides extra seating and storage.
  • More formal seating is available at the breakfast table and banquette in front of a window.
  • Counters are a soft honey and black granite; maple cabinets are painted warm cream and rubbed with a soft brown glaze. Glass panels mix with wood panels for a more open look.
  • The unique refrigerator panel was painted by an artist in a fruit and textile theme.
  • The dining area is defined by a raised ceiling.
  • The under-mount stainless-steel sink has no lip for ease of cleaning.
  • Flooring is Brazilian cherry.
