Materials:

32" high toolbox on wheels
food-grade steel top (bent to size)
3/4" medium density fiberboard (mdf)
magnetic tool bar
sheet metal screws
hooks
drill
non-slip pad
power strip (optional)

Steps:

  1. Measure the top of the tool cabinet and cut two sheets of mdf to fit. This will be the base for the counter top. Glue the two sheets together using wood glue. Allow to dry.
  2. Have a local sheet metal shop cut and bend the food grade steel to fit over the mdf top. Take the counter surface to them for a perfect fit.
  3. Attach the steel to the mdf with screws.
  4. Secure the magnetic tool bar to the side of the cabinet with screws.
  5. Add the hooks to the front of the cabinet with screws.
  6. Insert non-slip pads into the drawers.
  7. Install power strip to side of cabinet. Be sure that it has covers for the outlets and a fuse installed for safety.
