This kitchen hadn't been touched since the 1950s. The owners wanted additional cabinetry, counter space and natural light. They also wanted to pare down the amount of pine woodwork. When Ed and Heidi purchased the house, it was under the condition that they would remodel, which is why they turned to architect Dan Roberts.
After
The walls to the adjoining dining room and laundry room were knocked down, creating an enlarged kitchen that is both brighter and more open. New appliances, cabinetry and countertops were installed, and an eating area was incorporated into the space . The remodel is a dramatic improvement and really becomes the focus of the home.
