After: Modern Media Room
Geri relocated the television so it was no longer affected by glare from the windows. She brought in bold, red furniture perfect for relaxing while enjoying a movie on the new flat screen TV. The homeowners upgraded their media set-up by adding state-of-the-art surround sound speakers. Geri further tied this modern area into the 50's theme by adding a black and white checked area rug, reminiscent of the floor tiles popular in most 50's diners. By blending modern technology with retro elements, designer Geri Bradshaw turned a drab, underused room into a playful and hip hangout.
