For those with limited space in their dining rooms, the entry can be the perfect storage area for wine and spirits, as well as glassware. And, if space allows, a mini-bar can be placed here with a few chairs so when guests arrive, they can get their drinks before entering the formal dining or living room areas. If plumbing is nearby, consider installing a wet bar and closing off the area with a screen. As suggested earlier, the screen could be painted, covered in fabric or collaged with photos. In this scenario, a collage of old wine bottle labels or photo prints of bars--in hotels, neighborhoods, boats and trains--may be appropriate.
