A Home Workstation
With just enough space for a writing table, an entry can be a place for specific tasks like shopping by phone or paying the bills. Purchase furnishings that can adequately store catalogs and hold a checkbook, bills, stationery and stamps. Because most homes have mailboxes situated at the front doors, it's the perfect place to keep up with bills and paperwork. Station a mail outbox here, too, so you will always remember to take out the mail. Look at a secretary-style desk, a tambour desk with shelves, a writing surface and drawers wthen outfitting the entryway space.
