A Place to Draw
Perhaps the entry has the space for a tabletop or ful-sized easel. Bring in a side table with a drawer to store art supplies, a stool (topped with wood or covered in fabric), and a table or floor lamp with a bulb that mimics natural light. If it's preferable to hide the drawing materials, then use a tabletop easel that folds up and can be stored in the table drawer. For paints, inks, or drawing pencils, use a simple Shaker wood box, an antique paint box, or an attractive cigar box. Another option is to find an armoire and have a carpenter build shelving inside for art supplies. A small art stool could be tucked in the bottom of the armoire, so the armoire remains the entry's focal point.
