For an eye-catching display, use the ladder support to secure a bendable batten strip to the curve of a wall using self-anchoring Molly bolts. Cover the strip and the top back of a wall hanging with hook and loop tape.
Materials:

3/4" plywood
1 x 2 and 2 x 4 lumber scraps
3" drywall screws
drillSteps:

1. The top piece is a 24" x 24" piece of plywood and it will span three steps, giving you plenty of room to set a ladder on. For the height of the shortest 2x4 supports, measure the height of the step or riser, which is usually eight inches. Cut two 2x4s to that measurement, two to 14 inches, two to 24 inches and two to 20 inches.

2. Place the top upside down and lay the 20-inch pieces in place, centering them along the outer edges. Line the rest of the 2x4s up on end and secure each with wood glue and drywall screws (figure A).

3. To give the stand more support, attach a 2x4 cross brace with angled ends to the 24-inch pieces (figure B).

4. Attach a 1x2 strip along the length of the top board to keep the ladder from sliding off the board as you climb (figure C). Put ladder mitts on the ends of the ladder to protect the walls.
