Karrieanne and Ken Yankee have a problem many people face — not knowing what to do with a room that has a dual purpose. When their baby daughter was born, they had to give up their office for the nursery and move the office into the dining room. Now that they have a desk in the dining room, they don't know where to begin decorating. Fortunately, designer Angelo Surmelis and the 24 Hour Design team have a plan that will add style and function to the Yankees' multipurpose room.
Before: Too Sterile
The homeowners love the wooden beams and high ceiling in their dining room, but that is all that they love. The room is too sterile. The white walls, glass table and the desk make the room seem very cold.
