The dining room is the entryway and central room in the house. Robinson had added a closet, which provides a convenient space for coats and shoes. However, the area to the right of the front door is awkward. A cedar chest delineates a space that doesn't function well with the greater purpose of the room. Add to that an assortment of odds and ends, and it's a dining room struggling for an identity.
