Now all of Robinson's family can gather for a cozy meal. An unused table provides enough wood to create two leaves that extended the seating capacity of the dining table to ten. Pillowcases with attached tassels slip over the backs of chairs to unite the assorted set. That built-in is brought back to life with some sanding, a coat of stain and new glass in the doors. Paint contractor Danielle Hirsch gives the period fireplace a more traditional look with a faux stone paint treatment. Using sand paint and a couple of drops of tint to create two contrasting shades of the same stone color, Hirsch just dabs the paint colors on in patches and then blends them unevenly with a rag. Dabbing the wet paint with a dry brush sets the paint into all the cracks and crevasses. We regret that paint specifics are not available for this episode.
