Their house is a 100-year-old Victorian, but homeowners David and Jojo Hargis want the dining room to have a mid-century modern style. Host/designer David Bromstad finds blue in the guest room and on the outside of the house — a good place to start. He and design/color assistant Danielle Hirsch go shopping to look for inspiration on blending Victorian architecture with modern elements.

Before: Victorian Features
This dining room in a century-old home has prominent Victorian architectural features including a curved front wall with three windows, 10-foot-high cove ceilings, hardwood floors and built-in shelves. Everything is painted white, though, so none of these features stand out.
