Much-needed shelving is custom-built on either side of the room's large window, a perfect place to show off the family's personal treasures. The musty old curtains and worn-out carpet are replaced with gold-tinted roller shades and a stylish new wool rug. The main feature of the room is a gorgeous dining table to accommodate large family gatherings. As a modern touch, a contemporary sofa is used on one side of the table to help create an intimate feel. The antique chairs are reupholstered with soft cream-colored fabric, bringing both an eclectic feel and continuity to this suite.
