As the biggest room of the house, the space acts as the family gathering place but it lacks a purpose. The shabby drapes and worn carpeting need to be replaced, and although there are a few antique pieces, some of the furniture is just plain old. Since the children have grown, they no longer have to worry about having kid-friendly furnishings and fabrics. Scot and Heidi want to create a modern, sophisticated space where their parents can feel like grownups.
