Host Brooke Channon and guest designer Stuart Piontek re-create the festive, elegant look of the Inspiration Room created by Jeanese Rowell. The room is accented by a hand-carved rock crystal chandelier and an original Pakistani rug.

Transforming the Makeover Room:

Guest designer Stuart Piontek helped direct the transformation of a makeshift playroom into a dining room that exudes warmth and romance with the following steps:

  • Painted the walls a soft glowing gold color (Benjamin Moore: Cork); added a festive faux leaf pattern.

  • Hung handmade velvet panels and sheers.

  • Replaced an antique side table with a china cabinet and sideboard combination to provide ample storage space for dishes.

  • Antiqued solid white columns to look like those in the Inspiration Room.

    Watch the design team create needlepoint seat cushions
  • Replaced the dining room table for two with a round rope design table; added chairs with seat cushions upholstered in different fabrics.

  • Dressed the table with a ginger jar centerpiece and a mixture of ceramic and stoneware place settings.
