After: Industrial Warmth
The room’s bluish gray is changed to a more neutralized gray with charcoal undertones. Rich espresso color warms up the gray, while stainless steel keeps it sleek and modern. The glass tile backsplash adds a modern feel and ties all the colors in the palette together with a single element. The countertop is made from new porcelain tile, which like concrete, is virtually indestructible and heat resistant. It also has very small grout lines, so it is easy to keep clean.

Makeover resources:
paint: Benjamin Moore - Silver Marlin 2139-50 (eggshell)

backsplash tiles: Susan Jablon Mosaics - SUB 1504-34, SUB 1401-34, SUB 1404-32 light gray, dark gray, brown
backsplash grout: Susan Jablon Mosaics - Silverado Sanded
countertop tile: Imperial Tile and Stone - Travertino Grey
bamboo flooring: iFloor - Springwood-Designer Collection

Tip: Light gray can make a room feel too misty or pastel. You can counter the effect by adding dark brown to ground the space.
