Young and Decadent
The living room is a place to de-stress and unwind, and color can be an important element in bringing together style and a playful sense of whimsy. "In a world filled with schedules, commitments and concerns, it is important to have some unadulterated fun in at least one area of living space," says color forecaster Leatrice Eiseman of the Pantone Color Institute, who created the Savories palette for 2008. It features tasty blends of decadent chocolate Frappe and Daiquiri Green, with dollops of appetizing bright colors such as Jester Red, Spectra Yellow and Sun Orange

Sherwin-Williams' Virtual Re-Mix collection also adds a dab of playful pizzazz, with retro-inspired colors such as the mod green Antiquity and blue Drizzle. The collection also includes the vintage classics of Black Swan, gray Storm Cloud and deep coral Peppery.
