Use Black on Accent Furnishings
Sue Aprill prefers to keep the color black low-key, opting to use it as an accent color instead of on a large piece of furniture, such as a couch. She'll often choose one accent table or one accent chair as a highlight. Instead of all-black, however, she picks a black frame and covers it in fabric, such as leopard print. This gives you a look that is "unexpected" — a treat, she says.
